POSITION: Store Manager
POSITION DUTIES: Responsible for all operations of all departments at Filipino specialty supermarket in Las Vegas, Nevada. Oversee, direct, and manage store personnel in all departments, including the store’s fast-food style restaurant. Coordinate and implement policies needed to achieve company-defined sales goals, profit margins, sales growth, customer service and satisfaction, cleanliness, and sanitation. Ensure that store is in “grand opening” condition every day before the doors open to the public. Ensure effective implementation of company business plans to attain financial projections, meet or exceed budgets, and promote sales growth. Monitor weekly cash flow and inventory to ensure that stocks are optimally maintained. Deposit cash and checks securely and timely. Monitor competition to determine popular items, and to ensure that store prices are highly competitive. Monitor purchase orders for all departments to ensure optimum sales and minimize or eliminate stock availability problems. Prepare and submit reports and other required paperwork in an organized and timely manner. Oversee maintenance of all store equipment and implement preventative policies to prevent loss of use issues. Implement company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs. Develop and implement programs and policies to improve worker productivity and job satisfaction, including coaching, training, and direction. Set weekly schedules for all departments to ensure that manpower complement is adequate and meets company labor cost targets. Manage daily staffing to ensure that all positions are accounted for, and assign workers as needed to cover any absences to maintain efficient operations. Oversee regular employee performance appraisals. Administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, and ordinances related to health and safety of customers and employees.
